Paul Barnard – President
As President of ArrayComm, Paul Barnard is responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction and overseeing its growth as the industry leader in baseband processing software for wireless infrastructure and client device applications.
Prior to becoming President in September 2011, Paul was Senior Vice President, Product Development. He led ArrayComm’s worldwide product development organization, with responsibility for ensuring our research and software development efforts enable us to continue to produce world-class MAS solutions for broadband data, voice, and broadcast applications.
Paul is a wireless industry veteran with a 20-year track record of helping organizations more effectively design, develop and deliver leading-edge technology products for the wireless market. Prior to joining ArrayComm in 2006, Paul was Vice President of Engineering for IP Wireless, based in Chippenham, England, with responsibility for the development and enhancement of IP Wireless’s UMTS-TDD wireless infrastructure and modem equipment, helping to grow engagements with key customers. Prior to this assignment, Paul held a number of R&D leadership positions for Nortel Networks and BelAir Networks in Canada as well as for companies throughout the U.K. and in Germany.
Paul received his BS, with honors, in electrical and electronic engineering from Portsmouth Polytechnic in the U.K.
Todd Chauvin, PhD – Vice President, Research and Technology
Todd Chauvin leads ArrayComm’s research group. He is responsible for the conception, development, and performance assessment of the core technology for ArrayComm’s product lines. He has more than 15 years experience in industrial research and development of algorithms and platforms for both cellular and deep space applications.
Since joining ArrayComm in November 2000, Todd has held both individual contributor and management roles. He’s worked extensively on algorithms for multi-antenna signal processing with applications to cellular air interfaces including 3GPP standards (LTE, HSPA, WCDMA), IEEE standards (WiMAX, 802.20), and ARIB (PHS, XG-PHS).
Before joining ArrayComm, Todd was a member of the Communications Research Section of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, where he specialized in telemetry systems for deep space communications.
Todd received his PhD from the University of Washington (Seattle) in coding and information theory. He earned both his BS and MS at Texas A&M University.
Xin Huang – Vice President, Business Development and Delivery, Asia
Xin Huang is is responsible for ArrayComm’s business development, marketing, and area operations in China. He has 15 years of experience in the wireless industry, with focus on antenna array beamforming and MIMO technologies.
Xin has held various marketing and engineering management positions since joining ArrayComm in July 2000. He established the company’s R&D center in Chengdu, China; worked with telecom vendors and mobile operators in Europe, Asia, and North America; and led the development of several wireless base station and terminal products.
Before joining ArrayComm, Xin worked on fixed wireless access system at Cisco. From 1996 to 1999, he participated in the development of core technologies for TD-SCDMA at Cwill Telecommunications, Inc., in Austin, TX.
Xin holds a BS in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
Kevin Kloker – Vice President, Engineering
Kevin Kloker is Vice President of Engineering for ArrayComm, responsible for worldwide development and customer support. Prior to joining ArrayComm in 2006, Kevin was Vice President of the Technical Staff at Motorola Labs. He served as Director of Architecture for the StarCore DSP joint venture from 1998 to 2002.
During his 30-year career with Motorola, he was the chief architect of the DSP56000/56300 24-bit fixed-point and DSP96000 32-bit IEEE floating-point digital signal processors and later led the Architecture and Applications group developing StarCore’s SC140 16-bit fixed-point digital signal processor. He also created several real-time, embedded multimedia communications platforms using the H.261/263/320, AAC, JPEG, and MPEG2/4 audio/video compression standards.
Kevin holds a BSEE from Bradley University and a MSEE from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He was elected a Motorola Dan Noble Fellow and an IEEE Fellow. He has 16 issued patents and 10 external publications.
Jerry Pioch – Vice President, Business Development
Jerry Pioch is responsible for business development and marketing in the Americas and Europe. He joined ArrayComm in 2007 as Director, Business Development, after a 27-year career with Motorola. While at Motorola, Jerry had extensive responsibilities in product management, strategic planning, and business development for wireless infrastructure, handsets, and enterprise communication systems.
Jerry received his BS in quantitative methods from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
